Welcome to Faith Talk. I’m Rev. Jay Stuart Glover.
Today, I want to spend a few moments reflecting on a short, but powerful passage from Genesis 2:15. It says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

Now, that verse may sound simple at first, but within it lies a profound truth about who we are, and what God expects from us.
From the very beginning, God gave humanity the sacred responsibility of caretaking — of nurturing, protecting, and preserving what He created. Adam’s task wasn’t just to enjoy the beauty of the garden; it was to tend it — to work it and take care of it.
And that same call is placed upon each of us today.
We, too, are caretakers — of God’s creation, of one another, and of ourselves.
